How the AI uses your data
Inference only
When you use an AI feature, the relevant context from your shop is sent to our model provider for inference. It is not used to train models, and no data leaves your shop without an AI feature being invoked.
Opt-in subscriptions
Weekly AI summaries and anomaly Slack alerts are off by default. You choose the day and hour they run, in your local timezone, from /settings/ai.
Master AI toggle
Prefer to use Stockful without AI features? Flip the master toggle in settings and all AI surfaces - chat, health check, explain, anomalies - are disabled.
Per-plan usage allowance
Each plan includes an allowance of merchant-initiated AI interactions per billing cycle: 500 on Starter, 1,000 on Growth, 2,500 on Pro. Background AI work (anomaly hypotheses, weekly digest, smart setup analysis) doesn't count. The allowance resets when your Shopify billing period rolls over.
