About Stockful

A Shopify inventory app built around the decisions that actually cost money: what to reorder, when, and how much.

What Stockful is

Stockful is an inventory management, forecasting and reporting app for Shopify stores. It installs from the Shopify App Store, reads your catalogue, locations and order history, and turns them into the numbers a merchant needs to keep stock moving: demand forecasts, reorder recommendations, purchase orders, transfer suggestions, over a hundred reports, and alerts that fire before a SKU runs out rather than after.

The organisation behind the app is Stockful. Our terms of service are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and every policy that covers your data - privacy, data processing, security incident response - is published in full on the documentation site.

What the app does

  • Tracking and history. Daily snapshots of stock at every Shopify location, with up to two years of daily history - well past the 180 days of adjustment history Shopify itself retains.
  • Demand forecasting. Self-tuning, seasonality-aware models with automatic sale detection, per-SKU overrides for lead time and safety stock, and measured forecast accuracy.
  • Purchasing. Reorder recommendations, native purchase orders with suppliers and price lists, receiving, landed cost across freight, duty and fees, transfer suggestions between locations, and a cash-out schedule for what you will need to spend and when.
  • Reporting. Over a hundred built-in reports plus a report builder driven by StockfulQL, our query language. Export to CSV, Excel, XML or JSONL, or schedule delivery to email, Slack, a webhook, Google Sheets or Airtable.
  • Alerts and anomalies. Unlimited stock alerts to Slack or email on every plan, and a nightly scan that flags SKUs whose sales velocity has shifted out of pattern, each with a short written explanation.
  • AI. An in-app assistant that answers questions against your live inventory, a weekly digest, Shopify Sidekick support, and a remote MCP server so Claude, Cursor, VS Code, Gemini CLI or ChatGPT can read the same data directly.

Who it is for

Shopify merchants who have outgrown a spreadsheet: stores carrying enough SKUs that reorder timing is a real decision, stores holding stock in more than one location, and stores that need a paper trail behind every adjustment. It is also the app many merchants move to when leaving Stocky, which Shopify is retiring on 31 August 2026 - Stockful imports Stocky's suppliers, price lists, purchase orders and stock adjustments.

How we handle your store's data

Stockful reads your Shopify data through the Admin API and webhooks. It does not change your stock levels, products or orders as a side effect of analysis; the one thing it writes back is stock you record as received against a purchase order. All data is scoped to your shop with row-level security, and individual customer personal data from order records is discarded during aggregation rather than stored.

Billing runs entirely through Shopify, so we never see card details. The full list of subprocessors, what each one receives, and your rights over the data are set out in the privacy policy and the terms of service.
